Svetlanka [38]

When writing an essay, it is important to follow the structure in the essay graphic organizer so that you would be able to write an effective essay.

What is a Thesis Statement?

This refers to the sentence that shows the central idea of a paper or an essay and comes at the end of the introduction.

Hence, we can see that to write an effective essay, it is important that the thesis statement would be made to educate the readers about the purpose of the essay.

Next, the first important point would be made and then backed up with supporting details in order to validate the point and then add the source to show that it is credible.

Finally, more supporting details would be used, and then there would be a restatement of the thesis statement.

Question: How does the author achieve his purpose?
The big bend
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

by using descriptive phrases to explain difficult ideas

Explanation:

The Big bend can be described as a proposed skyscraper which is to be constructed in New York City. The proposal is most known for its distinctive U-shape, which would make it the longest building in the world, though not the tallest, if it were built. The Big Bend is a curved, 4,000 foot-long skyscraper planned on Manhattan's Billionaire's Row. Although the author uses descriptive phrases to explain the ideas behind the big bend however, it is very unlikely that the project will ever be built.

Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

She hopes her daughter is a "fool" because she doesn't want her daughter to know that she deserves better than what the world will give to her. Men are seen above women so the best thing a woman can be is beautiful because her husband will treat her better than if she were viewed as ugly. Being beautiful would also help her to get a husband in a better wealth class. Daisy knows how cruel the world can be towards women
