Provide at least two examples of how colonists began to develop representative governments.
Vlada [557]
One example that can be cited as a representative government is The Virginia House of Burgesses, which was the first legislative assembly of elected representatives formed in the 13 colonies. This assembly was created in 1619 by the Virginia Company.
Another example that can be cited is William Penn's Frames of Government of Pennsylvania. This was a constitution for the colony of Pennsylvania. These frames are important as they were already too forward for the time and set the base for democracy.
