Genetic diversity is the term that refers to diversity in relation to the genes that exist within a group of individuals of the same species. This diversity is what allows the different characteristics between members of the same species. As an example, we can mention the existence of genetic mutations within the same family.
Species diversity, however, is the term that refers to the number of different species in the same region, each species will present a different genetic diversity, thus creating a highly diversified system. An example of species diversity is the fauna and flora of the Amazon rainforest, which has numerous different living beings coexisting in the same space.
