How does the Army of the People differ from modern armies?

Answer:

The Army of the People acted bring freedom for the people.

Modern army acted for the interest of the government.

Explanation.

The army of the people was first founded in Texas. They were planning to fight with the Central Government of Mexico and bring independence for the people of Texas.

Modern army on the other hand only act according to the government's will. Some times, government intention is too actually provide protection to American people or our allies (such as their decision to confront The Nazis). But some other time, the army have to obey the orders of the government even though their action are morally questionable (such as the occupation in middle east)
