The participants in this colorful pageant were all Victoria’s subjects, all part of the enormous British empire. At this time people said “The sun never set on the British Empire” Which meant the empire was so vast that some part of it was always in the daylight. It started hundreds of year ago. Great Britain was an Imperialist Nation, meaning they conquered other countries and claimed them for themselves. So, after conquering so much land with their strong military the sun never set on all of the nation because it was so widespread.

Hope this helps. And if so, Please mark me as brainlist!!

Why do you think Haiti was able to abolish slavery even before the U.S.? What allowed for the Haitian Revolution to be successfu
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

In 1793, the rebels freed themselves by forcing the colonial commissioners to abolish slavery throughout the colony. The colony then sent a delegation to the French National Assembly to convince the French government to abolish slavery in the entire Empire.

Moreover, the revolution liberated 90 percent of the population, which had been living under a brutal system of slavery. Haiti's was the first, and the only, successful slave revolt in the history of the world. Moreover, the Haitian Revolution would lead to the doubling of the size of the United States.
