Maximilian Karl Emil Weber (/ˈveɪbər/;[6] German: [ˈveːbɐ]; 21 April 1864 – 14 June 1920) was a German sociologist, historian, jurist, and political economist, who is regarded among the most important theorists on the development of modern Western society.[7] His ideas would profoundly influence social theory and social research.[8] Despite being recognized as one of the fathers of sociology, along with Karl Marx, Auguste Comte and Émile Durkheim, Weber never saw himself as a sociologist, but as a historian.[9][10]

Unlike Émile Durkheim, Weber did not believe in monocausal explanations, proposing instead that for any outcome there can be multiple causes.[11] As such, he was a key proponent of methodological anti-positivism, arguing for the study of social action through interpretive (rather than empiricist) methods, based on understanding the purpose and meanings that individuals attach to their own actions. Weber's main intellectual concern was in understanding the processes of rationalisation, secularisation, and "disenchantment", which he took to be the result of a new way of thinking about the world,[12] associating such processes with the rise of capitalism and modernity.[13]

n200080 [17]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is as follows:

You have walked in late to class, and your psychology professor is explaining how one personality theorist sees personality as a relatively stable set of potential responses to various situations. You know immediately that your professor is talking about the theories of

a. J.ulian Rotter.

b. B. F. Skinner

c. Albert Bandura

d. John Watson.

Answer:

You know immediately that your professor is talking about the theories of

a. J.ulian Rotter.

Explanation:

J.ulian B. Rotter was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1916. He was a psychologist who developed influential theories such as social learning theory and locus of control. According to Rotter, personality can be described as a relatively stable set of potentials responses to different situations. However, stable does not mean unchangeable. To Rotter, if you can change the way a person thinks, you can also change the way they respond or behave.

NOTE: I had to spell J.ulian like this because, for some reason, Brainly interprets it as a bad word. That also happens with other similar names such as J.uliet.

________ is the study of controversial moral or ethical issues related to scientific and medical advancements.
Anni [7]

Bioethics is the study of controversial moral or ethical issues related to scientific and medical advancements.

Bioethics is a relatively new interdisciplinary field that has rapidly evolved into a professional moral enterprise against the backdrop of the revival of applied ethics in the late 20th century. The term bioethics is commonly understood as an umbrella term for three major subfields: medical ethics, animal ethics, and environmental ethics.

Each subfield has its own area of bioethics, but many themes, ethical approaches, concepts, and moral considerations overlap significantly. This makes it difficult to study and easily solve important moral issues such as abortion, xenotransplantation, cloning, stem cell research, animal morality, and nature (environmental) morality.

Furthermore, in the field of bioethics, the fundamentals of at least the important life sciences, especially medicine, biology (including genetics), biochemistry, and biophysics, are used to enable them to successfully deal with specific moral issues. knowledge is required.

What was the court’s majority opinion in Plessy v. Ferguson?
anygoal [31]

Answer:The court’s decision ruled that the laws of Louisiana were not in conflict with the Constitution. The justices wrote that Plessy’s defense wrongly assumed that separate facilities somehow made one race automatically inferior to another.

Further, they ruled that if one race is already socially inferior to another, there was nothing that the Constitution or other acts of legislation could do to fix that. To this end, the majority opinion states that the Fourteenth Amendment “could not have been intended to abolish distinctions based upon color, or to enforce social, as distinguished from political, equality, or a commingling of the two races upon terms unsatisfactory to either.”

Explanation: This comes directly from the answer.
