A food processor uses approximately 27,000 jars a month for its fruit juice product. Because of storage limitations, a lot size

of 4,000 jars has been used. Monthly holding cost is $0.18 per jar, and reordering cost is $60 per order. The company operates an average of 20 days per montha. What penalty is the company incurring by its present order size?
b. The manager would prefer ordering 10 times each month but would have to justify any change in order size. One possibility is to simplify order processing to reduce the ordering cost. What ordering cost would enable the manager to justify ordering every other day?

c. Suppose that after investigating ordering cost, the manager is able to reduce it to $50. How else could the manager justify using an order size that would be consistent with ordering every other day?.

40 POINTS! PLEASE HELP ME NO ANSWERS THAT SAY " FIGURE IT OUT OR IDK" PLEASE!
miskamm [114]
Since there are different flavors I will try to see which of my flavors cost the most and which cost the least. Next I will see what are the qualities of each drink and first give a few samples out and determine which flavor I most liked and which flavor is least liked out of all. As soon as I have all of my information gathered I will set my prices for each and every different flavor as I think it should be and I will also do a little research online to see kind of where each of my prices need to range from.

In its first month of operations, Giffin Company made three purchases of merchandise in the following sequence: (1) 240 units at
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

$1,395

Explanation:

Total cost of Inventory purchased

= (No. of units × Per unit price) +  (No. of units × Per unit price) +  (No. of units × Per unit price)

= (240 × 8) +(340 × 10) +(440 × 11)

= 1,920 + 3,400 + 4,840

= $10,160

Number of units purchased = 240 + 340 + 440

                                              = 1,020

Average cost per unit = total cost /No. of units

= 10,160 /1,020

= $ 9.9608 per unit

Cost of ending inventory = 140 × 9.9608

= $1,395
