Even though competitive sports is indeed physically demanding, The physical stress that experienced by the players are nowhere near the training time. ( for example, in 90 minutes of soccer, players do not run around all 90 minutes, most of the time is spent passing and positioning)
Europeans used many advanced tools like swords guns explosives and were probably more skilled in swordsmanship.
While they Native Americans used natural tools like animal bones and stuff to shape spears also bow and arrows so their technology had no match for the Europeans.
For cultural I feel like the NA's were more down to Earth and wanted peace while of course the Europeans wanted war because they wanted their way.
