Use the drop-down menus to answer the questions. By 1875, how much imported cotton was used in the British textile industry? Acc
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

The correct option is D

The Industrial Revolution or First Industrial Revolution is the process of economic, social and technological transformation that began in the second half of the 18th century in the Kingdom of Great Britain, which spread a few decades later to a large part of Western Europe and Anglo-Saxon America, and that it concluded between 1820 and 1840.

From this moment on, a transition began that would end centuries of labor based on manual labor and the use of animal traction, being replaced by machinery for industrial manufacture and for the transport of goods and passengers. This transition began towards the end of the 18th century in the textile industry, as well as in the extraction and use of coal. The expansion of trade was possible thanks to the development of communications, with the construction of railways, canals, and roads. The transition from a mainly agricultural economy to an industrial economy greatly influenced the population, which experienced rapid growth, especially in the urban sphere.

Choose an influential figure of Asian American/Pacific Islander heritage—we’ve provided some suggestions below to help you, but
Radda [10]

Answer:

Determined to serve his country during World War II, Kurt Chew-Een Lee joined the Marine Corps in 1944 at the age of 18. He expected to ship out to the Pacific Theater following boot camp, but was instead assigned to a stateside Japanese language school. Following World War II, Lee was disappointed to have missed the chance to serve in combat, and opted to pursue a career in the military. Becoming the first Asian-American to serve as a regular officer in the United States Marine Corps, he further distinguished himself through his heroism on the battlefield during the Korean War: while leading a platoon at Inchon, Lee’s unit was attacked by Chinese forces. Directing his men to establish a defensive line, he advanced alone in order to provoke the enemy to open fire and reveal their positions. Taking fire from nearby Chinese forces, he called out to them in Mandarin, “Don’t shoot! I’m Chinese!” His American accent gave him away, and the attack continued. Lee was wounded, but his actions saved his men, and he was awarded the Navy Cross for his extraordinary heroism.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIST!!~<br> Write a paragraph, 5-7 sentences of a summary of the American Revolution
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

The American Revolution was a military and political struggle that waged for roughly eight years. American colonists fought for freedom from Great Britain, beginning in 1775. On the fourth of July 4th that year, the colonist's leaders had signed the Declaration of Independence, officially separating them from the sovereignty. This obviously upset Britain who needed the revenue from the colonies to rebuild after a war in Europe. There were many reasons that the colonists wanted to be separated, for one thing, tax, for another, they were pretty tired of the whole monarchy and Divine Right of Kings. The American Revolutionary War is not ended until the Treaty of Paris is signed in 1783.
