Mr. Hollands gets an orchestra together and he performs a song to Cole's deaf peers and to Cole himself. Cole and his friends "heard" the song by listening to the vibrations and seeing the colors behind Hollands. After this event, Cole's parents catch him blasting music and seeing him sitting on top of the speaker feeling out vibrations.
