Because you sometimes have to choose between something abstract and something real. One example is when you have opportunity to make your family happy for the end of their life but you have to do something highly unetical. But the moral of the story is that we, no matter what must continue to be THE MOST ETICAL VERSION OF US. We must never doubt some ethical decisions that we've made!
Unequal power relations refers to the difference in power between individuals that is caused by some of that individuals have access to more resources or influences compared to the rest of them.
Ways unequal power could spread HIV/AIDS :
- government not provide enough funding to educate citizens about the prevention.
AIDS/HIV can mostly be avoided by doing safe sex and not using shared needles. both could be easily taught to the mass.
- Government not provide enough funding for HIV/AIDS research
Which means medicines to prevent or cure aids haven't be available until the infection spread widely.
- Sexual Assault
People in high position can sexually assault people in lower position. This can spread the disease through non-consensual sex.
Responding to conflict with confrontation will just lead to more and more arguments with peers, family members and loved ones. People will start to avoid the friend because many people do not like confrontation and prefer to deal with conflict in a calmer more understanding way. The friend needs to take that approach in order to sustain positive relationships. The calmer the approach to conflict the better. A mutually supported understanding needs to be reached in conflicts in order to resolve them peacefully. Aggression and confrontation just leads to more anger and upset.
