B. Producer
An autotroph is an organism that can produce its own food using light, water, carbon dioxide, or other chemicals. Because autotrophs produce their own food, they are sometimes called producers.
Plants adapted over time to having less and less water. As they adapted they over the years require less water for them to thrive.

Water evaporated into the atmosphere. Due to the very low temperature of the
atmosphere, the vapor condenses and it is turned back into a non-gaseous form,
and because of gravity, it falls back to the ground in various forms, such as
rain, snow, sleet, or hail. </span>
