So, you just fill in so for number 1 you will take f(x) = x^2, and every where there is an x, you replace with a -5 so it would be f(-5) = -5^2 which is 25. Same with the others like number 2, take g(x) = x+5 and replace x  with -12, g(-12)= -12+5, which would be -7.
