Y = mx + b

8x - 4y - 9 = 0

first you move the nine to the other side of the equal sign (add nine to both sides)

8x - 4y = 9

then you need to also move your 8x over to the other side as well (remember we are trying to get y by itself!)

- 4y = -8x + 9

then we are going to divide -4 to both sides

and you get

y = 2x - 9/4

we can then identify the slope as 2

so B. 2 would be your answer

hope this helped

I would greatly appreciate it if you would help me
mylen [45]

Answer:-1

Step-by-step explanation:

the output of a function is the y value while the input is the x value.

so the question is asking what does the y value( output) have to be for the x value( input) to be zero.

since the graph is provided we can just look to see where the x values becomes zero ( the y axis is when all y values are zero)

we then can identify that the y intercept is -1

hope this helps!!

Given that Log 10^2=0.301 and log10^3= 0.477, find the value of log10^6
Vinil7 [7]
<h3>Answer: 0.778</h3>

This value is approximate

=======================================================

Work Shown:

\log_{10}(2) \approx 0.301\\\\\log_{10}(3) \approx 0.477\\\\\log_{10}(6) = \log_{10}(2*3)\\\\\log_{10}(6) = \log_{10}(2)+\log_{10}(3) \ \text{ see note below}\\\\\log_{10}(6) \approx 0.301 + 0.477\\\\\log_{10}(6) \approx 0.778\\\\

Note: I used the rule that log(A*B) = log(A)+log(B) which works for any valid log base.

Clayton needs to reflect the triangle below across the line y = x.
Anarel [89]

Answer:

A. Clayton could use the relationship (x,y)\rightarrow (y,x)(x,y)→(y,x) to find the points of the image.

C. C’ will remain in the same location as C because it is on the line of reflection.

D. The image and the pre-image will be congruent triangles.

Step-by-step explanation:

A. Clayton could use the relationship (x,y)\rightarrow (y,x)(x,y)→(y,x) to find the points of the image.

This option is TRUE. When we reflect a shape in the line y=xy=x , we just have to swap the x and y coordinates.

B. .Clayton could negate both the x and y values in the points to find the points of the image.

False; This is a rotation of 180\degree180° about the origin.

C. C’ will remain in the same location as C because it is on the line of reflection.

This statement is True

C’ will move because all points move in a reflection.

This statement is false because,C(2,2) and C'(2,2) will have the same coordinate.

D. The image and the pre-image will be congruent triangles.

This is TRUE because reflection is a shape preserving transformation(rigid motion).

E. The image and pre-image will not have the same orientation because reflections flip figures.

This is False

Hope this helps :)
