Earth's crust is made up of relatively rigid plates that ride atop Earth's hot, semiliquid mantle. (2) The plates are called tec

tonic because they're in constant motion. (3) They can move because Earth's mantle is a very hot and semiliquid fluid called magma. (4) Volcanoes are a result of magma rising up or erupting through a plate, particularly where plate boundaries are moving against each other. (5) Also, when plates slide against each other, causing friction along adjacent plate boundaries, earthquakes frequently occur. (6) Therefore, we often find volcanoes and earthquakes along plate boundaries. (7) Plates may also collide. (8) When that happens, mountain ranges are formed. (9) For example, the collision of the plate carrying the Indian subcontinent created the Himalayan Mountains when it collided with the Asian plate. 8. Sentence 7 (a) introduces a new topic and therefore we may need to begin a new paragraph. Sentence 1 through Sentence 6 talk about tectonic plates and how they can cause volcanoes and earthquakes. Sentence 7, although talks about tectonic plates, it now shifts focus to the creation of mountain ranges and goes on to give an example of the Himalayan Mountains.

What evidence from the January 15, 1944 diary entry suggests that there is increasing tension among the residents of the Annex?
Stels [109]

Hello. You forgot to mention that this book is about "Anne Frank's diary".

Answer:

The message about Ms. Van Daan being jealous of the birthday gift Ms. Frank received and the message about her Frank family not being able to stand the Van Daan anymore.

Explanation:

The January 15, 1944 entry from Diario de Anne, shows that there were tensions between the Frank family and the Van Daan family.

Anne shows in this entry that Mrs. Van Daan was jealous because Ms. Frank won sugar on her birthday. That's because Ms. Van Daan didn't get such a precious gift for her birthday. Anne says that in order to contain tensions, the two families are sharing many things, because there is no point in attacking each other, but Anne says that the Franks can no longer support sharing the same space with the Van Daan, but that the war continues , so they have nothing to do but live together.
