The spiritual beliefs were strong and spread to laws, customs and way of life. God was their leader and it guided all of their actions. This united the community and strengthened it. In a foreign vast lands, their spiritual bond made keep them close to each other. They had excellent survival techniques that helped them in their pursuits. Each of their church congregation and individuals were responsible to God separately. Puritan societies did not accept anyone with different beliefs.
