Each of the colonies had a different religion like Quakers, Presbyterians, who followed different customs and values. The ethnic groups like Irish, English, and French were different from the religious group. Because they came to start a new life rather than looking for religious freedom.

Both of the group agreed upon the importance of economic opportunities and liberty of conscience.
