The function y=7500(1.08)t represents the value y of an investment after t years. What is the value of the investment after 6 ye
boyakko [2]

Answer:

The answer is 48600, but I'm not entirely sure if it correct.

From what I know, if I were to see ¨y=7500(1.08)t¨, we could have to substitute the t with the number of years. Looking like this, ¨y=7500(1.08) x 6¨.

The reason I don know if my answer is correct or not since I don know if you have the t next to 1.08 to represent that or to simply multiply the property of it with 6 (the number of years).

So I tried...

Which combination of congruent corresponding parts can you use to prove two triangles congruent?
Nezavi [6.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

CONGRUENT TRIANGLES : Two triangles are said to be congruent if they have same sides and exactly same angles.

Now, any two triangles can be  congruent by any of the following 3 properties:

1) SIDE SIDE SIDE (SSS)  :  Here three sides of triangle 1 is equal to the three sides of the triangle 2.

2)  SIDE ANGLE SIDE (SAS)  :  Here two sides and including angle of triangle 1 is equal to the two sides and including angle of the triangle 2.

3)   ANGLE SIDE ANGLE (ASA) :  Here two angles and including side  of triangle 1 is equal to two angles and including side of the triangle 2.

4) ANGLE ANGLE SIDE (AAS) :  Here two angle and one side of triangle 1 is equal to the two angles and one  side of the triangle 2.

Network breakdowns are unexpected rare events that occur every 3 weeks, on the average. Compute the probability of more than 4 b
allsm [11]

Answer:

0.827

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Probability of breakdown, p = once in 3 weeks i.e \frac{1}{3}

number of weeks n = 21

now,

mean, λ = np

=  \frac{1}{3}\times21

= 7

P(X > 4) = 1 - ( P(X ≤ 4))

using Poisson distribution

P(X = x) = \frac{e^{-\lambda}\lambda^x}{x!}

Thus,

P(X = 0) = \frac{e^{-7}7^0}{0!}

= 0.00091

P(X = 1) = \frac{e^{-7}7^1}{1!}

= 0.00638

P(X = 2) = \frac{e^{-7}7^2}{2!}

= 0.02234

P(X = 3) = \frac{e^{-7}7^3}{3!}

= 0.05213

P(X = 4) = \frac{e^{-7}7^4}{4!}

= 0.09123

Thus,

P(X ≤ 4) = P(X = 0) + P(X = 1) + P(X = 2) + P(X = 3) + P(X = 4)

= 0.00091 + 0.00638 + 0.02234 + 0.05213 + 0.09123

= 0.17299

Therefore,

P(X > 4) = 1 - 0.17299

= 0.827
