Enlightenment is actually one of the factors that the Declaration of Independence was modeled after. The Declaration of Independence is what started the revolution. The Brittians heard of the declaration, and didn't want Americans to be independent on their own land.

The story of Cain and Abel can be understood on several levels. Write one.
Zanzabum

Cain and Abel's story is first and foremost the story of human corruption.

Explanation:

The story of the murder of Abel at the hands of Cain due to jealousy and anger was the first blood shed by a man of another man on earth and it signaled that man was a corrupt animal and would be doing the same for time to come.

This story is the ultimate belief in the fact that humans are born sinners and they will commit sins against one another and they will shed the blood of their own brothers for gains.

This way of corruptibility of humans is in some doctrines known as the original sin.

How did King Philip II of
Spain support the Counter-
Reformation?
Nutka1998 [239]

Didn't allowed spreading of Protestantism on the soil of Spain.

Explanation:

 • Another consequence of persisting in maintaining Catholicism with the sole faith of the Spanish Empire through the Inquisition was the slight numbness of the intellectual life of the Spanish. Students were forbidden to study outside Spain and use foreign books, for fear of accepting Protestant ideas.
 • Although Spain was preserved in this way from the reformations that destroyed the kingdoms of Europe at the time, this was paid a very high price, since the Spanish academic institutions lost their significance and value during the succession of Philip.
