The are regarded as the most successful and influential band of all time. The beatles were the foundation of the evolution of pop music and developed it into an art form and a culture in the 1960s.

The beach boys were a boy band in the 1960s who defined the 1960s as a potent pop act. They are considered the one of the most influential act of the rock era with their vocal harmonies and early surf songs. The band drew inspiration from jazz vocal bands, 1950s rock and roll and black R&B.
