As a scientist employed by the FDA, you've been asked to sit on a panel to evaluate a pharmaceutical company's application for a

pproval of a new weight loss drug called Fat Away. The company has submitted a report summarizing the results of their animal and human testing. In the report, it was noted that Fat Away works by affecting the electron transport chain. It decreases the synthesis of ATP by making the mitochondrial membrane permeable to H+, which allows H+ to leak from the intermembrane space to the mitochondrial matrix. This effect leads to weight loss. How would you explain the decreased synthesis of ATP?

Answer:

The right response is "body temperature".

Explanation:

  • Whilst also growing the basal leakage of protons, this same drug Fat blocks the development of ATP. The whole change throughout the electrochemical gradient including its proton, therefore, induces the release of a possible form of radiation, rather than being transferred to ATP.
  • Through thermoregulatory autophagy, outlet temperature throughout the individual contributes to loss, associated with elevated body temperature. Elevated body temperature would have the additional effect of removing fat.

Biology! URGENT! Write in complete sentences! In 5-6 sentences or more! PLEASE NEED HELP!!
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

See the answer below

Explanation:

In the case of cardiovascular diseases, the main causes are sedentary lifestyle, stress, nutrition (consumption of junk food and low consumption of high-fiber foods), diabetes, high blood pressure, overweight. In the case of poor nutrition, it happens that the increase in cholesterol that we call "bad" LDL occurs and the "good" HDL cholesterol that is protective and sweeps the bad that covers the blood vessels is not increased. Taking into account diabetes, the excess glucose produced in the body, glycosylates the LDL particle, which also obstructs the passage of blood flow through the vessels.

How long does it normally take to process one 12-ounce beer from your system?
Darina [25.2K]

Once the alcohol goes into our system, an ounce of it is process for a period of one hour.

The first stop happens in the stomach where absorption through the gastric lining and bloodstream occurs. Stronger drinks are absorbed more quickly. The second stop happens in the brain where its function decreases/ is increasingly impaired as the BAC or blood alcohol content grows. The third stop will be in the heart. However, it should be noted that it does not receive any physical alcohol, but its effects on the heart are strong. Alcohol is a vasodilator which means it causes blood vessels to dilate. This indicates more blood flow through the body-- but lowers the overall blood pressure. The fourth stop will be in the kidneys where blood is filtered. The fifth stop will be in the bladder where it will excreted from the body. Lastly, the liver is where the rest of alcohol left in your system is broken down. This process is known as metabolizing. The chemical that remains after metabolization is acetaldehyde and the body gets rid it by further metabolizing it into carbon dioxide and water.

Therefore, an ounce of alcohol is processed in our body for 60 minutes or one hour.
