Y=log base(rootx) x find dy/dx

1 answer:

Given:

y=\log_{\sqrt{x}}x

To find:

The value of \dfrac{dy}{dx}.

Solution:

We have,

y=\log_{\sqrt{x}}x

It can be written as

y=\log_{\sqrt{x}}(\sqrt{x})^2

Using property of log, we get

y=2          [\because \log_aa^x=x]

Now, differentiate both sides with respect to x.

\dfrac{dy}{dx}=\dfrac{d}{dx}(2)

\dfrac{dy}{dx}=0          [\because \dfrac{d}{dx}(Constant)=0]

Therefore, the value of \dfrac{dy}{dx} is 0.

What is the value of x in the equation (StartFraction one-half EndFractionx + 12) = StartFraction one-half EndFraction(StartFrac
anastassius [24]

Answer:

x =-24

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(\frac{2}{3})(\frac{1}{2}x + 12) = (\frac{1}{2})(\frac{1}{3}x + 14) - 3

Required

Solve for x

(\frac{2}{3})(\frac{1}{2}x + 12) = (\frac{1}{2})(\frac{1}{3}x + 14) - 3

Open all brackets

\frac{2}{3}*\frac{1}{2}x + \frac{2}{3}*12 = \frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{3}x + \frac{1}{2}*14 - 3

\frac{2 * 1}{3 *2}x + \frac{2 * 12}{3}= \frac{1 * 1}{2 * 3}x + \frac{1 * 14}{2} - 3

\frac{1}{3}x + \frac{24}{3}= \frac{1}{6}x + \frac{14}{2} - 3

\frac{1}{3}x +8= \frac{1}{6}x + 7 - 3

Collect like terms

\frac{1}{3}x - \frac{1}{6}x =7 - 3 -8

\frac{1}{3}x - \frac{1}{6}x =-4

Solve fraction

\frac{2-1}{6}x =-4

\frac{1}{6}x =-4

Multiply both sides by 6

6 * \frac{1}{6}x =-4 * 6

x =-4 * 6

x =-24

The points ( - 6,5) and ( - 7,q) fall on a line with a slope of 10. What is the value of q?
Usimov [2.4K]
If you go on my profile you will see a similar problem that I already answered today.

Lets start by using a formula (don't remember the name)

(y-y1)=M(x-x1)

M is slope and y is first y value and y1 is second y value same applies to X.

Substitute in the values.

(5-q) = 10(-6-(-7))

5-q = 10*(1)

5-q = 10

-q = 5

q = -5

Check:

Substitute in the value of "q" and use the formula to find slope:

(y1-y)/(x1-x)

Substitute

(-5-5)/(-7-(-6))
-10/-1
10

Your Answer:
The value of "q" is -5

Simplify [7+2(5 - 9)2]/[(4+1)2 - 3(22)
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

9/56 is your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

[7+2(5 - 9)2]/[(4+1)2 - 3(22)=

[7+2(-4)2]/[(5)2-66]=

[7+2(-8)]/[10-66]=

(7+-16)/(-56)=

-9/-56=

9/56 is your answer.

6.<br> What is the midpoint of the line segment whose<br> endpoints (7,-4) and (-3, -2)?<br> are
quester [9]

Answer: (2, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the the answer, you will need to use the midpoint formula, which is as following:

(x₁+x₂/2, y₁+y₂/2)

Since we have two coordinates, let's substitute them into the equation.

(7 + (-3 )/ 2, (-4) + (-2)/2)

We should first add 7 and -3 together, as well as -4 and -2.

(4/2, -6/2)

We then divide 4 and -6 by 2. This would give us our midpoint coordinate.

(2, -3)
