The number of managers in the given number of employees is 107.

Given;

fraction of skilled workers, = ⁴/₉

unskilled workers = ¹/₁₀

supervisors = ²/₇

total number of employees = 630

let the fraction of the manager = x

To find:

the number of managers

First determine the fraction of the managers;

x + \frac{4}{9} + \frac{1}{10} + \frac{2}{7} = 1\\\\x + \frac{280 + 63 + 180}{630} = 1\\\\x + \frac{523}{630} = 1\\\\x  = 1 - \frac{523}{630} \\\\x = \frac{107}{630}

Finally, the number of managers is calculated as;

number \ of \ managers = \frac{107}{630} \times 630 = 107

Thus, the number of managers in the given number of employees is 107.

This is all percentages so...
4/9 = 44%
2/7 = 29%
1/10 = 10%
Total = 83%
So 17% of 630 is left over which = 107

Answer:

x = −10 and x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

x2 + 6x = 40

Subtract 40 from each side

x^2 + 6x -40 =0

Factor,  what 2 numbers multiply to -40 and add to 6

10 * -4 = -40    10+-4 = 6

(x+10) (x-4) = 0

Using the zero product property

x+10 =0     x-4=0

x=-10    x=4

It does depend on the material. Some materials transfer heat faster than other materials. For example, most metals transfer heat faster than plastic.
