My thought process for this problem; bacteria cannot fertilize egg cells. Sperm does that through reproductive processes. Bacteria does not help organisms grow. Bacteria can be decomposers and thrive off of a dead host for as long as the bacteria gets said nutrients from the body, there is good bacteria in your digestive system that keeps you healthy, but for the most part bacteria is harmful and can cause illness, so I believe the best answer is decomposition!
