The architects side view drawing of a saltbox-style house shows a post that supports the roof ridge. The support post is 10 ft t
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

The support post positioned 23 feet far from the front of the house

Step-by-step explanation:

According to Pythagoras Theorem

(Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + ( Perpendicular)²

We need to find Base so arranging the equation will give us

(Base)² = (Hypotenuse)² -  ( Perpendicular)²

Taking under root on both sides

Base =  √(Hypotenuse)² -  ( Perpendicular)²

Base =  √ (625 - 100)

Base = √525

Base = 23 feet

A jar contains $36.25 in quarters and nickels. How many quarters and dimes are in the jar? Please explain how u got the answer,
kumpel [21]
So, look:

36*4 = 144

There are 145 quarters in all.

And in nickels, there are:

144 * 5 = 720 + 5 = 725
There are 725 nickels in all.

Dimes: 144 * 10 = 1440 + 10 = 1450  (or you could do 145 * 10 and still get 1450. Like I did in the nickels and everything. :) )

= 1450 dimes

I hope this helps!
