Answer:

Let affan have x no. of stamps Then,

According to the question Ayaan has 20 stamps more than 3 times the number of stamps Affan has. Then,

x = 3x + 20

Now they both have 140 stamps all together. so,

x + 3x + 20 = 140

or, 4x = 140 - 20

or x = 120/4

or, x = 30

Therefore, Affan has 30 stamps .

PLEASE HELP!!! A.S.A.P!!
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

142m

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem can be solved by simply using the pythagorean theorem, as you stated at the beginning of the problem, which is: a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2}

You are given the a side and b side that are needed for this equation, so it's all a matter of plugging in the information you have:

110^{2} +90^{2} =c^{2}

110^{2} =12100

90^{2} =8100

12100+8100=c^{2}

20200=c^{2}

Now, because the c is still squared, you must take the square root of 20200 in order to get the length of just side c:

\sqrt{20200}≈142m

If Isometry preserves distance and angle measurement ,which of the following are examples of Isometry?
3241004551 [841]

C) Both reflection and translation

Step-by-step explanation:

An isometry of the plane is a linear transformation which preserves length. Isometrics includes rotation, translation , reflection ,glides and the identity map.

A geometry transformation is either rigid or non-rigid

The another name for a rigid transformation is 'isometry'.

Kate uses 9.8 pints of white paint and blue paint to paint her bedroom walls. 3 4 of this amount is white paint, and the rest is
Natali [406]

Answer:

Blues Paints = 2.45 pints

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's generate an expression that would relate all the variables given:

Total pints of paints used:

9.8 = white + blue

Pints of white paint used:

= 3/4 of 9.8

=0.75 * 9.8

=7.35

Number of pint of BLUE PAINTS used:

9.8 = White Paints + Blue Paints

9.8 = 7.35 + Blue Paints

Blue Paints = 9.8 - 7.35

Blues Paints = 2.45

Kate used 2.45 pints Blues Paints for her bedroom

For which points in the same quadrant as(2,-10)could Tamara use a number line to find the distance?
VLD [36.1K]

ANSWER

(2,-2)

(10,-10)

(2,-9)

(7,-10)

EXPLANATION

The given point is (2,-10)

This point is in the fourth quadrant.

To be able to use the number line to find the distance between this point , (2,-10) and another point in the fourth quadrant, the second point must have the same x-coordinate with this point or the same y-coordinate with this point.

These points are:

(2,-2)

(10,-10)

(2,-9)

(7,-10)
