1/2 Square equals to 1/4 equals to x over 5 2 Square

therefore 1/4 equals to x over 5 2 square

Equals to 1/4 equals to x over 5 * 4 you know that 2 square equals to 4

So now I'm going to solve for 1/4 equals to x of over 5 * 4 equals to 20

1/4 equals to x over 20

1/4 equals to 20 cross multiply

= 1\4 = x/20

= 4 * x = 20*1

4x = 20

divide both side by the coefficient of x

4x/4 = 20/4

x =5

A group consisting of 6 people is to be selected from eight parents and four teachers.
zvonat [6]

Answer:

9/32 or 0.28125

Step-by-step explanation:

8 parents and 4 teachers

There are 12 possible outcomes.

probability = # of favorable outcomes / # of possible outcomes

Let's do the teachers first.

There are 4 teachers, and we are finding the probability for 3 of them being picked.

Therefore,

P = 3/4

Now let's do the parents.

There are 8 parents, and we want 3.

Therefore,

P = 3/8

Now, we do  \frac{3}{4} *\frac{3}{8} = \frac{9}{32}

Therefore, the chance of 3 teachers and 3 parents being picked out of 4 teachers and 8 parents is 9/32, or in decimal form 0.28125.

Hope this helped!

PLEASE SOLVE THIS PROBLEM
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

18) Area= 5*5/2=25/2=12.5 unit ^2

19) Area=AB^2V3/4=8a^2*V3/4=2V3a^2

Step-by-step explanation:

18. A(-3,0)

B(1,-3)

C(4,1)

AB=V(-3-1)^2+(0+3)^2=V16+9=V25=5

AC=V(-3-4)^2+(0-1)^2=V49+1=V50=5V2

BC=V(1-4)^2+(-3-1)^2=V9+16=V25=5

so AB=BC=5

and AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

so trg ABC is an isosceles right  angle triangle (<B=90)

Area= 5*5/2=25/2=12.5 unit ^2

19. A(a,a)

B(-a,-a)

C(-V3a, V3a)

AB=V(a+a)^2+(a+a)^2=V4a^2+4a^2=V8a^2

AC=V(a+V3a)^2+(a-V3)^2=Va^2+2a^2V3+3a^2+a^2-2a^2V3+3a^2=V8a^2

BC=V(-a+V3a)^2+(-a-V3a)^2=V8a^2

so AB=AC=BC

Area=AB^2V3/4=8a^2*V3/4=2V3a^2

help please !!!Kevin wants to make a mixture that is 50% lemon juice and 50% lime juice. How much 100% lemon juice should he add
Liula [17]
So basically, he wants to make mixture where lemon=lime

it is 6 gallons so
40% of 6=0.4 times 60=2.4=lemon
60% of 6=0.6 times 60=3.6=lime
so to make them equal
3.6-2.4=1.2
he must add 1.2 gallons of 100% lemon juice to make a mixture of 50% lemon and 50% lime

1.2 gallons is the answer
