What defines “The Raven” as a poem rather than a work of short fiction?
NikAS [45]

Answer:

The component that defines the work "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe as a poem, and not as a short work of fiction, is the resource of rhyme that is used constantly in the writing of the work. Thus, the author uses this resource at all times, both within the verses and between different verses, in such a way that the musicality of the writing is never lost; on the contrary, the careful use of words (and even the repetition of them) is aimed at keeping the rhythm of the poem from its beginning to its end.

Document B: Letter from President Kennedy to Chairman Khrushchev 4. In this letter Kennedy restates Khrushchev’s proposals. Does
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

The letter was calm and restrained.

Explanation:

Tension between the United States and Russia, formerly known as the Union of Soviet Socialists States were on the rise. From the rocket race, to the missiles race, the tensions between the two countries kept escalating. In the wake of the events, one of the potentially dangerous events was the Cuban missile crisis. Russia thought to build a missile base in Cuba. This would present a great danger to the US. In the letter, Kennedy is tentative in his approach. He exercises restraint. In fact, in one of the lines he says, "...I recognize Mr. Chairman, that it was not I who issued the first challenge in this case..." The president distances himself from the provocations that had been sent his his predecessors.
