A Midsummer Night's Dream is a comedy written by William Shakespeare

What is a summary of a Midsummer night dream?

Demetrius realizes it is fruitless to continue to pursue Hermia as she becomes increasingly enraged. Hermia walks out to find Lysander as he settles down and nods off. Oberon squeezes the flower juice onto Demetrius' eyelids and sends Puck to find Helena as Hermia leaves.

In this scene, the mechanicals meets for their second rehearsal and realize there are some problems with the play which they aim to resolve before they start rehearsals. They decide to do away with some of the characters in the play and instead have the actors play a wall, the moon, and a lion.

What rhetorical device is being used in this example?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

The Rhetorical device used in the example is Pathos.

Explanation:

Rhetorical Device is simply a literary tool which helps us to understand the structure and writing style of any particular sentence.

‘The Glass Castle’ is a book by Jeannette Walls where she describes her own life story of poverty. The line, Years from now when all the junk they got is broken and long forgotten,’ Dad said, ‘you’ll still have your stars’ is an example of Pathos rhetorical device. The appeal of this device is based on emotion.

The line depicts how her father provides an justification for not having any Christmas present for his children. There’s a deeply felt emotion in this line. The helplessness of a father and a sadness of his kids.
