Answer: Area= 1400meter^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

ok  so  we can assume the

breadth=X

so, length = X+5 (because the length is 5 meters more than the breadth)

perimeter= 150 meters

the formula of the perimeter of a rectangle = 2 x ( Length + Breadth)

so now if we put the values,

2 * ( X+5 +X) = 150 ( because 150 is the perimeter)

2 * (2X + 5) = 150 (the value became 2x because when we add two variables with the same value it will be written as 2(any variable)).

now we multiply  2 with both sides

so ( 2 * 2X) + (2 * 5)

hence, 4X + 10 = 150

now we will solve the equation,

4X= 150 -10 (because we did transposal the signs will change from "+" to "-")

4x= 140

again with the transposal (when we write a number with a variable it shows that it means the number multiplied by the variable in this case it is 4 multiplied by X ) so when we transpose we will have to divide because multiplication turns into division while transposing

so now,

X= 140÷4

which is equal to 35

so finally X = 35

so as we have written in the beginning breadth= X

and LENGTH= X+5

so now we have found X

BREADTH= 35

LENGTH= 40 (because 35+5 is 40)

now we have to find area the formula for finding the area is LENGTH×BREADTH

so, 40 × 35 = 1400

now we put the unit which is square meters also known as m^{2}

<u>so there is your final answer 1400</u>m^{2}<u />

Answer:

1400m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution,

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x m, then the length of the rectangle will be x+5 m,

Now,

Perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

150=2(x+5+x)

150=2(2x+5)

150=4x+10

150-10=4x

140=4x

140/4=x

35=x

So, the breadth of the rectangle=35 m

and length=(35+5)m=40m

Again,

Area of the rectangle=l×b

=40m×35m

=1400 m^2

I hope it helped U

What is the ratio of the total coins in Andrew's coin jar to the total coins in Staci's coin jar?
sammy [17]

Answer:the answer is D. 25:44

Step-by-step explanation: the first step is to do the cumulative total of Andrew's number of coins(100).

Then you do the cumulative total of Staci's coins(176).

After you find the cumulative total of them both, since it is Andrew:Staci, you will ratio Andrew's total to Staci's.

Which is 100:176 .

Then from here you reduce this to the lowest term

Team D's car went the same distance on each of its trials. Team C's car went exactly 1 cm farther in each trial than Team D's ca
mezya [45]

Answer:

180 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of trials per team = 3

Distance per trial for team D's car is the same for each trial, let distance = x

Distance per trial for team C's car is 1cm farther than team D's distance and the same for each trial, hence, distance = x + 1 per trial

Total distance traveled by C = 543 cm

This means :

(x + 1) + (x + 1) + (x + 1) = 543

3x + 3 = 543

3x = 543 - 3

3x = 540

x = 540 / 3

x = 180

Hence, distance traveled per trial for team D's car = x = 180 cm

Find the length of the diagonal AD in the pentagon ABCDE shown in the coordinate plane.
Xelga [282]

Answer:

\sqrt{73} units.

Therefore, Option C is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given a pentagon ABCDE

We need to calculate its length

That means we have to find the distance of AD

So, coordinates of A(1,6) and D(4,-2)

Using distance formula:

\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Here,x_1=1,y_1=6,x_2=4,y_2=-2

On substituting the values we will get:

\sqrt{(4-1)^2+(-2-6)^2}

On simplification:

\sqrt{3^2+(-8)^2}

\sqrt{9+64}

\sqrt{73}.

Hence, the length of AD is  \sqrt{73} units.

Therefore, Option C is correct.

Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

  • 8) 4 + 2q²/p² - 4r/p + r²/p²
  • 9) (3/4, -9/4)
  • 10) (3/8, 41/16)

Step-by-step explanation:

8. ============

Given

  • α and β are roots of px² + qx + r = 0

The sum of the roots is α + β = -q/p, the product of then roots αβ = r/p

  • (2 + α²)(2 + β²) =
  • 4 + 2(α² + β²) + (αβ)² =
  • 4 + 2((α + β)² -2αβ) + (αβ)² =
  • 4 + 2((-q/p)² - 2r/p) + (r/p)² =
  • 4 + 2q²/p² - 4r/p + r²/p²

------------------------------

9. ============

<u>Given function</u>

  • y = 2x² - 3x - 1

The minimum point is reached at vertex

<u>The vertex is:</u>

  • x = -b/2a
  • x = -(-3)/2*2 = 3/4

<u>The corresponding y-coordinate is:</u>

  • y = 2(3/4)² - 3(3/4) - 1 = 9/8 - 9/4 - 1 = 1/8(9 - 18 - 9) = - 18/8 = - 9/4

<u>So the point is: </u>

  • (3/4, -9/4)

---------------

10. ============

<u>Given function</u>

  • y = 2 - 3x - 4x²

The maximum is reached at vertex

<u>The vertex is:</u>

  • x = -b/2a
  • x = -(-3)/2(-4) = -3/8

<u>The corresponding y-coordinate is:</u>

  • y = 2 - 3(-3/8) -4(-3/8)² = 2 + 9/8 - 9/16 = 1/16(32 + 18 - 9) = 41/16

<u>So the maximum point is:</u>

  • (3/8, 41/16)
