8x + 6 - 2x = 6x + 5....combine like terms on the left side
6x + 6 = 6x + 5
6x - 6x = 5 - 6
0 = -1 (incorrect)
This has no solution

** if ur solution ends with a variable equaling a number, then there will be 1 solution.
if ur solution ends with no variables, but a true statement, such as 5 = 5 or 2 = 2....then there is infinite solutions.
if ur solution ends with no variables and a false statement, such as 5 = 4 or 0 = 3...then there is no solutions

The answer is no solution.
First you simplify both sides of the equation... Then you subtract 6x from both sides. And lastly you subtract 6 from both sides. Leaving you with no solutions.

vfiekz [6]

Answer:the output for a wind speed of 40 miles per hour is 810.8 kilowatts.

Step-by-step explanation:

The power P produced by a wind turbine is directly proportional to the cube of the wind speed S. This means that

P is directly proportional to S

Introducing a constant of proportionality, k, it becomes

P = kS

A wind speed of 37 miles per hour produces a power output of 750 kilowatts. This means that

750 = k × 37

k = 750/37 = 20.27

The expression becomes

P = 20.27S

Therefore, the output for a wind speed of 40 miles per hour would be

P = 20.27 × 40

P = 810.8

Identify the variables in this Algebraic Expression
X+ 4y - 9
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

The expression x + 4y - 9 has two variables x and y.

Step-by-step explanation:

What is a variable?

A variable is a letter, for instance x or y, that represents an unknown number.

Given the expression

x + 4y - 9

The given expression has three terms which are x, 4y, and -9.

Here:

 • The term 'x' is the unknown variable x.
 • The term '4y' has a coefficient (the number next to a variable y) of 4.
 • The term '-6' is a constant.

As we already know that a variable is a letter, for instance x or y, that represents an unknown number. In other words, the values of x, or y are unknown to us.

Thus, the expression x + 4y - 9 has two variables x and y.
