A principal of a large high school wants to estimate the true proportion of high school students who use the community's public
denis-greek [22]

Considering the margin of error of a confidence interval, it is found that the correct option is:

It would be half as wide.

What is the margin of error of a confidence interval?

It is modeled by:

M = z\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

In which:

 • z is the critical value.
 • s is the standard deviation.
 • n is the sample size.

From this, we get that the margin of error is inversely proportional to the square root of the sample size. Then, multiplying the sample size by 4, when it changes from 50 to 200, cuts the margin of error in half, making the interval half as wide.

Solve each given equation and show your work. Tell wether it has one solution, an infinite number of solutions, or no solutions,
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

See below in bold.

Step-by-step explanation:

(A) 20 -4x=12 -x+8-3x

-4x + x + 3x = 12 + 8 - 20

0 = 0 This is an Identity.

Infinite solutions.

B). 5x+4x-3=24+8x

9x - 8x = 24 + 3

x = 27. One solution.

C. 5x+6=2x+6+3x-15

5x - 2x - 3x = -15 + 6 - 6

0 = -15

No solution.

Some of answers use 3,14 as a substitute for pi.
Katena32 [7]

Personally i think that if you use the pi symbol it would be more accurate because on a calculator there is an pi symbol √ which is the same it will give you an answer closer to an whole number.

Answer:

The three true options are B, C and E.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's simplify the expression that represent the score of Javier in a game of mini-golf:

3x + x + 5 – 2x

2x + 5

Which statements are true about the parts of the simplified expression? Select three options.

A. The constant is 2.

It's false. The constant is 5.

B. The coefficient is 2.

It's true. The coefficient of x is 2.

C. The constant is 5.

It's true.

D. The coefficient is 5.

It's false. 5 is the constant and the coefficient of x is 2.

E. There are two terms.

It's true. The two terms are 2x and 5.
