This type of stratification system is called an estate system. It is based off of European systems, most notably France, where people were divide into classes and given votes that counted towards the political spectrum. This system allows only certain people who meet certain criteria to vote.</span>

<span>The outcome of the battle enraged many Americans that the government became more determined to tame or destroy the Indians. They forced the Indians to surrender, confined all of the Cheyenne and Sioux to reservations within five years. Crazy Horse was killed after leaving the reservation without permission in 1877. Sitting Bull was shot and killed by a Lakota policeman three years later in 1890.<span>
