Tems11 [23]

Answer: Sudetenland; Czechoslovakia

The Sudetenland is a historical area of former Czechoslovakia which was inhabited by Sudeten Germans. After WWI, Austria-Hungary was dismembered and the Sudeten Germans found themselves in the new country of Czechoslovakia.

With the rise of Pan-Germanism before and during WWII, Germany claimed the Sudetenland, and annexated it after the Munich Agreement. After the war, Czechoslovakia expelled the Sudeten Germans from their territory, and the area is now almost exclusively inhabited by Czech speakers.

How did nationalism affect the political goals of the country of Serbia?
lidiya [134]
I think C would be the best answer here. Serbs wanted the Slavic areas of Austria-Hungary to separate from the empire and become a part of Serbia.

The reason why I think this is the correct answer is because there were strong nationalistic tendencies in all the slavic nations on the Balkans, not only the Serbs. However, the desire of the Serbs was the strongest as they were also the strongest slavic nation.
