We can see that the South Asia region is smaller in size than the United States, but still it has much larger population, more than five times larger.

This makes the South Asia region being also much more densely populated than the United States, with South Asia having 362.3 people per square km, while the United States having 32.8 people per square km, with the density being more than eleven times bigger.
