Hey there! I'm happy to help!

The equation y=0.5x simply means that Joseph is hiking 0.5 miles every hour. This is because the x value is the independent variable or the thing you change, which in this case is the time you take hiking. The distance, the y-value, is dependent on that time.

Now, let's look at Kelly's graph. This graph isn't a grid, so we will have to eyeball some of the numbers on the graph. It appears that after 10 hours, Kelly has traveled eight miles. This is because if you go up from the 10 and meet the line and then go to the left. you will be about at the line right below the 10 on the y-axis, and if you count the lines, you will see that we are counting by 2, so it has to be eight.

So, we see that Kelly takes 10 hours to go eight miles. We know that Joseph's distance is half of his time (4 hours would be 2 miles, 6 hours would be 3 hours, etc.)

So, if we say that Joseph hikes for ten hours, he will have hiked five miles as that is half of ten. We see, though, that Kelly made it eight hours in that time, so Kelly is going faster here.

Have a wonderful day and keep on learning! :D

Kelly hikes at the rate of 1mile per hour.

Or, y = x.

If Joseph hikes at the rate of y = 1/2x, and kelly hikes at the rate of y = x,

Kelly hikes faster than Joseph

A freezer has a volume of 54 ft.³ it has a length of 6 feet and a height of 3 feet what is the length of the width of the freeze
gogolik [260]
Ok so let’s see we have L and H but we don’t have the W so to find it we start by multiplying the numbers we do have which is L and H so 6x3=18 know that we did that we tasked the volume number which is 54 and we divide that by 18 so 54➗18 = 3 so our width is 3

Hope this helped :)

Answer: See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the price of apples be represented by a

Let the price of guyabanos be represented by g.

Since Marcel buys 5-star apples for PhP5.00 each and 3 guyabanos for PhP32.50 each. This will be:

C = 5a + 3g

where

a = PhP5.00

g = PhP32.50

c = Total cost

Therefore, an expression for the total cost of the fruits she buys will be:

C = 5a + 3g

C = 5(5.00) + 3(32.50)

The equation for the amount of change the cashier should give her if she gives the cashier PhP200.00 will be:

= 200.00 - 5(5.00) + 3(32.50)

= 200.00 - (25.00 + 97.50)

= 200.00 - 122.50

= Php77.50

If a pair of 6-sided dice is tossed, what is the probability that both dice will show a number that is a multiple of 3 (i.E. 3 o
kondaur [170]

There are 4 possibilities out of the 36 ways the dice can land:

... (3, 3), (3, 6), (6, 3), (6, 6)

Hence, the probability of an outcome in this set is 4/36 = 1/9.
