Just told you :  first know by heart remarkable identities !  

Then apply :  

4x²-12x = -9

4x²-12x +9 =0

(2x-3)² = 0

(2x-3) (2x-3)  = 0

Now you have a double solution :

2x-3 = 0

and 2x -3 = 0
