When you analyze the claim made by an author, what is your next step-after identifying the claim?
user100 [1]

Answer:

D). Find the supporting evidence the author provides.

Explanation:

While analyzing an argument, the immediate step that must be followed after the 'identification of the claim' would be 'to look for the supporting evidence provided by the author to substantiate the claim.' <u>This would assist in knowing the credibility of the claim and if it is justified logically</u>. Furthermore, <u>the readers can understand whether the conclusions made regarding the claim is trustworthy and reliable</u>. Thus, <u>option D</u> is the correct answer.

In which sentence is the adverb clause
Naddik [55]

The correct answer is B. Until he truly heard classical music, he never knew that bittersweetness lived in wordless song.

Explanation:

The function of adverb clauses is to modify or describe the action in the sentence. In terms of structure, this usually begin with words such as when, after, until, etc that add information about time, reason, way, among others. Also, in terms of punctuation if the adverb clause is placed before the main sentence this is separated using a comma.

This correct punctuation is exemplified in "Until he truly heard classical music, he never knew that..." because the section "Until he truly heard classical music" is an adverb clause introduced by the word "until" and this has been separated from the main sentence "he never knew..." with a comma.

explain each of the five key parts of the mind maps method of reading actively. Conclude your response by explaining how you mig
hram777 [196]

The mind map method is made of five parts: a box, arrows, circles, stars, and free-floaters. The box is the place where you write the main topic. The arrows connect the box with other parts of the mind map and show the relationship between ideas. The circles are where you write subordinate ideas of the main idea. The stars serve the same function as circles except they are starred because the information contained within them is especially important. Free-floaters are circles or stars that are not connected to the main idea. They are important ideas that seem to be off-topic. For me, I feel that I could use the mind map method as a way to organize each chapter of Gulliver’s Travels.
