Sadly but failing it will set back your GPA, or if your in intensive classes by failing them you will be put back in those classes or you can take summer school and finish up those credits. Since your a freshmen, and you may or may not be taking algebra 1 this year, if you are and your in intensive then you will be in intensive next year in geometry.
