SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN WHY 1.40 DIDNT WORK ON MY QUESTION 2.1/1.488

Mathematics

My calculator shows that

(2.1)/(1.488) = 1.41129

which is approximate. If you want the result to two decimal places, then it would be 1.41 and not 1.40

Try 1.41 and it should work out, assuming your teacher wants two decimal places.

Find the surface area of the square pyramid, Show your work please : )
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

105in²

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area is the total area of the faces.

The faces of pyramid consist of triangles and a square

The area of a square can easily be calculated by squaring the side length

the square of this pyramid has a side length of 5

so

area of square = 5²

5² = 25

the area of the square is 25in²

Now to find the area of the triangles

All we have to do is find the area of one triangle and multiply that buy 4 ( because there are four triangle)

the area of a triangle can be calculated using this formula :

A=\frac{bh}{2} where b = base and h = height

The triangles have a base length of 5 in and a height of 8 in

so

A=\frac{5*8}{2} \\5*8=40\\\frac{40}{2} =20\\A=20

So the area of one triangle is 20 in²

Now we multiply 20 by 4 to find the area of all 4 triangles

20 * 4 = 80

So the total area of the triangles is 80in²

Finally we add the two areas together

Surface area = 80 + 25

80 + 25 = 105

Hence, the surface area is 105in²

4 times the measure of the complement of an angle is equal to 2/3 the measure of the original's angles's supplement. what is the
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

72 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the angle is x degrees its complement is 90-x degrees and it's supplement is 180-x degrees.

4(90-x) = 2/3(180 - x)

360 - 4x = 120 - 2/3 x

360 - 120 = -2/3 x + 4x

240 = -2/3 + 12/3 x

240 = 10/3 x

x = 240 * 3/10

x = 72 degrees.

What is the volume of this cylinder?
Bumek [7]

Answer:

235.5 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a cylinder is the area of the circular base times the height of the cylinder:

V = π r² h

Given r = 5 cm and h = 3 cm:

V = (3.14) (5 cm)² (3 cm)

V = 235.5 cm³

A cylinder has a radius of 8 meters and a height of 4 meters. .
Novay_Z [31]

Solution :-

Given : Radius of cylinder = 8 m

Height = 4 m

Volume of cylinder = πr²h cu. units

= 22/7 × 8 × 8 × 4 m³

= 804.57 m³ (approx.)

Curved surface area = 2πrh sq. units

= 2 × 22/7 × 8 × 4 m²

= 201.14 m² (approx.)

Total surface area = 2πr(r + h) sq. units

= 2 × 22/7 × 8 (8 + 4) m²

= 2 × 22/7 × 8 × 12 m²

= 603.43 (approx.)
