1. 2\cdot(8-3)-6=2\cdot5-6=4

2. 14c-6=22\implies14c=28\implies c=2

3. 2x+18=5x\implies 3x=18\implies x=6

4. 18-c+9c+6=24+8c

5. 8x=-56\implies x=-7
