The Haunted Library

One day, there was a librarian who was in the library with her daughter. The girl was named Emily. Emily was looking around for something to do in the library until it opened. Then she saw a room that was blocked so no one could go in. While Emily’s mom was busy ordering books, Emily snuck in that room. When Emily went in there she noticed that the room had old bookshelves that were filled with rusty old books that were all burnt and torn apart. She walked around and found a radio and decided to turn it on. When she turned it on, it was playing music but it didn’t really sound good since it was broken. Then she found an old newspaper that showed a little girl with her parents. The newspaper was talking about how her and her parents died because of a fire that turned on at their house. While she was reading the article, she felt something pull her hair. She looked at what it was and she couldn’t believe it. It was the little girl from the newspaper, but she’s supposed to be dead, Emily thought. The little girl had an evil smile on her face and pulled her hair harder. Then a fire lit up on top of the bookshelves. It was turning bigger and bigger. The fire burnt one of the parts in a book and it flew and landed on Emily’s face. Emily started to cry and looked at the little girl, who was called Ava. Ava’s face then turned all rusty looking and burnt. She had a big smile with sharp teeth. Then her eyeballs disappeared so her eyes were dark black holes. Ava started to scratch and pull Emily’s feet while the fire grew even bigger. Emily started to cry even louder and her mom heard her. Her mom came running and when Ava heard her mother coming, she closed her eyes and disappeared. Emily’s mom finally came in and asked her what happened, but she didn’t answer. Emily’s mother just hugged her and told her to calm down and to forget everything that happened. Emily just thought, who is she, and what was she doing in the library?

20 concepts of journalism
Naddik [55]
1. Always deliver what you promise. 2. Each pronoun should agree with their antecedent. 3. Between you and I, case is important. 4. Verbs have to agree with their subjects. 5. Don't be a person whom people realize confuses "who" and "whom." 6. Never use no double negatives. 7. A writer should not shift their point of view. 8. When writing, participle must not be dangled. Don't do it even if it's hard not to. 9. Join clauses good, like a conjunction should. 10. Don't write run-on sentences, you need to punctuate them properly. 11. About sentence fragments. Don't. Unless it's for effect. 12. In letter themes and reports use commas to separate items in a series as well as phrases and clauses when required. 13. Don't, use commas, that aren't necessary. 14. Its important to use apostriphe's in the right place's. 15. Don't abbrev. unless approved by the Associated Press Stylebook. 16. Check to see you any words out. 17. Try to never split infinitives. 18. Avoid using a preposition to end a sentence with. That's a practice up with which some readers will not put. 19. Parallel structure will help you in writing more effective sentences to express yourself more gracefully and its pleasing to your editor. 20. In my own personal opinion I think that an author when he is writing should not get into the habit of making use of too many unnecessary words that he does not really need to use. 21. Last but not least, lay off the cliches and mixed metaphors. They might kindle a flood if anger in your editor. Yes, that's twenty one, but they all needed to be listed to properly answer this question. The errors in the sentences are all purposeful and intended. I do hope this helped you. :)
