Give the name (monomial,
AlladinOne [14]

Answers:

  • Name = monomial
  • Degree = 3

====================================

Explanation:

This is a monomial since it's one term. Terms are separated by a plus sign or minus sign. For instance, the expression 2x^3+5x has two terms.

The expression 12x^3 is a cubic monomial, because the exponent is 3. The degree of the monomial is simply the exponent itself. For polynomials, the degree is the largest exponent. This only applies to single variable polynomials.

A hypothesis test has a significance level of 10%. Explain what this significance level represents.
beks73 [17]
In statistical methods, the significance level is a value that is used as a criterion for rejecting a null hypothesis. It used by first looking at the differences between the experimental results and from there the null hypothesis would be determined. Then, we assume that the null hypothesis is true, the probability of the differences is computed by using statistical tools. If the computed probability is less than or equal to the value of the significance level, then you conclude that the null hypothesis should be rejected and that the results are statistically significant. Usually, a significance level of 1% or 5% is used.

Amare wants to ride a Ferris wheel that sits four meters above the ground and has a diameter of 50 meters. It takes six minutes
vampirchik [111]
The distance from the bottom of the wheel to a point on the ground can be modeled by a sine function. h(t)=a*sin(kt)+b. b is the height of the wheel, or 4m. a is the radius of the wheel, 50/2=25m. 2pi/k is the 5sinof thw revolution, so 2pi/k=6/3=2, k=pi. h(t)=25sin(pi*t)+4.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!! WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!
zhenek [66]

Given is :

The area of the rectangular patio is = 130 square feet

Let the width of the patio be = x feet

As length is 3 feet more than the width, so the length is = x+3 feet

Now area of rectangle is = length * width

x(x+3)=130

x^{2}+3x=130

x^{2}+3x-130=0

x^{2}+13x-10x-130=0

x(x+13)-10(x+13)=0

(x-10)(x+13)=0

This gives either x-10=0 or x+13=0

x-10=0 ; x=10

x+13=0 ; x=-13 (neglect this negative value)

So, the width of the patio is = 10 feet

Length = 10+3 = 13 feet

Each face of a cube has an area of 400 cm2. what is the volume of the cube?
dimaraw [331]

A cube is a square shape, so both sides ( length and width) of a face would be the same.

Find the length of the side by finding the square root of the area of the face:

Length = √400 = 20 cm.

Volume is Length x Width X height.

Volume = 20 x 20 x 20 = 8,000 cm^3
