What is one negative effect that can come from applying modern values to a historical event?

One example: WW2 if we had modern values back when the mustache man (hitler) was alive. More people would’ve died, because they would’ve had better guns ig and the concentration camps would have a lot more impact (negative impact) because of technology and all that fun stuff. Also Hitler might have lived if they had more modern values. P.S. uhm it’s kinda late rn but i hope this helps or just gives you an idea
