Abel ate 1/4 more than John.

If it started with 4/4 then John ate 1/4 and Abel ate 2/4 so 1/4 would be left.

Hope this helps

What is the solution for x?
Sauron [17]
3 - x = 5

Add x on both sides.

3 - x + x = 5 + x

3 = 5 + x

Subtract 5 on both sides

3 - 5 = 5 - 5 + x

3 - 5 = x

x = 3 - 5

x = -2
