The list which shows the acidic solutions in order from least conductive of electricity to most conductive is HA, HC, HB

The pH of a solution is defined as the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration of the solution.

The higher the hydrogen ion concentration, the lower the pH of that solution whereas, the lower the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution the higher the pH of that solution.

In solutions, ions are responsible for electrical conductivity. Therefore, an acid solution with low pH or high hydrogen ion concentration will conduct electricity better.

In the given acidic solutions, HA, HB and HC, the order from least electrical conductivity (highest pH) to most electrical conductivity (lowest pH) is:

HA, HC, HB with pH 5.6, pH 4.7 and pH 3.9 respectively.

The other arrangements: (HA, HB, HC), (HB, HC, HA), and (HC, HB, HA)

are wrong because they do not follow the order of decreasing pH.

Volume is defined as the amount of mass that an object has? True or false
maria [59]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Mass and volume are two different quantities. In fact:

- Mass is a scalar quantity representing the "amount of matter" contained in a certain substance. It is measured in kilograms (kg), which is one of the 7 fundamental SI units.

- Volume is a scalar quantity representing the amount of "three-dimensional space" occupied by an object or a substance. It is measured in cubic meters (m^3).

Therefore, mass and volume are two different quantities. They are related through another quantity called density, given by:

d=\frac{m}{V}

where

m is the mass

V is the volume

So the density of a substance represents the amount of mass contained in a certain volume of the substance.

3 Aplant species growing in a certain location has one variety that grows best in wet soil and another
vichka [17]

Answer:

The variety that prefers dry soil will show an increase in population

Explanation:

The wet soil plants will have no wet soil to thrive off of and will die. They will not compete for space because they don't want the same space and they cannot adapt quickly enough to survive and be unaffected.

Which is an example of a substitution mutation?
rjkz [21]

Answer:

CAT - GGC - TAC mutates to CAT - GGC - TAG is the right answer

Explanation:

because substitution mutation is the change in the single base which result in change in codon which encode different amino acid  and protein sequence changes.

for example in this

CAT - GGC - TAC  encodes HGY protein

now after change in single nucleotide from C to G

CAT - GGC - TAG which encodes HG stop codon
