Judging by the given information i would say A. it seems like there should be a diagram to accompony. But, c is wrong because its not rounded to .25
D. is just an outliar
it's between A and B. a diagram would answer that. it depends which the point is closer to. I'm saying A. because it sounds like the exercise wants you to use the decimal.

Answer:

Option (a) is correct.

14.25 inches is the most appropriate way to report length using this ruler

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A ruler measures length to the nearest 0.25 inches.

We have to find the most appropriate way to report length using this ruler.

Since, the ruler measures length to the nearest 0.25 inches thus, it appropriately measure only that length which has 0.25 in its decimals.

Thus, out of given options (a) 14.25 inches is only option that has 0.25 in its decimals.

Thus, option (a) is correct.

14.25 inches is the most appropriate way to report length using this ruler

Write the equation of the line that passes through the points
sesenic [268]

Answer:

y+5=2(x-3) or y+9=2(x-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the slope of the line

The formula to calculate the slope between two points is equal to

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

we have the ordered pairs

(3,-5) and (1,-9)

substitute the values

m=\frac{-9+5}{1-3}

m=\frac{-4}{-2}

m=2

step 2

Find the equation in point slope form

y-y1=m(x-x1)

Analyze two cases

First case

we have

m=2

point\ (3,-5)

substitute

y+5=2(x-3)

Second case

we have

m=2

point\ (1,-9)

substitute

y+9=2(x-1)

Note: The equation of the line in point slope form varies according to the point you choose, in contrast to the slope-intercept form

The slope of a line is 1, and the y-intercept is -1. What is the equation of the line written in slope-intercept form?
Scilla [17]
The slope-intercept form is:
y = mx + b
where m = slope, and b = y-intercept.
You need a slope of 1, so m = 1.
You need a y-intercept of -1, so b = -1.
Replace m with 1 and b with -1 in the slope intercept form to get

y = 1x + (-1)

which simplifies to

y = x - 1

What is the slope of the line passing through the points (2,-3) and (4,3)?
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to subtract y1-y2 over x1-x2 and you will get 3--3over 4-2 and you will get 6/2 and that lowers to 3
