Help please ! I’m not sure how to format this as well!

Mathematics
1 answer:
SIZIF [17.4K]3 years ago

Step-by-step explanation:

t's important to keep the order of operations in mind:  first parenthesis THEN Multiply Divide Add Subtract (I always remembered My Dear Aunt Sally).

So here we go...there are no parenthesis.

Multiply:

6-1 x 0 + 2 / 2 = 6 - 0 + 2 / 2

Divide:

6 - 0 + 2 / 2 = 6 - 0 + 1

Add and Subtract:

6 - 0 + 1 = 7

Hope that helps!

Please help me with this slope question!
Juliette [100K]
The correct answer is y=2/3x

To find the slope you use rise over run so you take one dot (2,-5) and go up 2 units so that it would get one the same line as the other dot (5,-3) and then go to the right 3 units to get you to the exact spot that the dot is

Find the domain of the following functions ?
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

A) x ≠ 0

B) x ≠ 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is all the possible values of x such that f(x) exists.

A) f(x) = (x + 5) / x

x can't be 0 (can't divide by 0), so the domain of x is all values other than 0.

You can write this in interval notation:

(-∞, 0)⋃(0, ∞)

Inequality notation:

x < 0 or x > 0

Or simply:

x ≠ 0

B) f(x) = 1 / (x - 3)

x can't be 3 (can't divide by 0), so the domain of x is all values other than 3.

(-∞, 3)⋃(3, ∞)

x < 3 or x > 3

x ≠ 3

PLEASE HURRY!!! What is the slope of the line that passes through (4, 5) and (8, -1)
Nitella [24]

Answer:

-1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of a line is given by the formula:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Let's let (4,5) be x₁ and y₁ and let's let (8,-1) be x₂ and y₂. So:

m=\frac{-1-5}{8-4}

Subtract:

m=\frac{-6}{4}

Reduce:

m=-\frac{3}{2}=-1.5

So, our slope is -3/2 or -1.5.

And we're done!
