Answer:

31 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Seeing that sides SR and RQ are equivalent, and triangles STR and TRQ are both right triangles, it's safe to assume sides TQ and TS are equivalent.

3x + 2 = 26

solve for x!

3x = 26 - 2

3x = 24

x = 24/3

x = 8

Using the same logic stated above, we can determine that sides SV and QV are also equivalent. And now, we also have the answer for what x is. All we need to do is solve.

4(8) - 1

32 - 1

=31

An equilateral triangle of side 14 centimeters is revolved about an altitude to form a cone. What is the number of cubic centime
Naddika [18.5K]

First find the height of the triangle using the Pythagorean theorem:

Height = √(14^2 - 7^2)

Height = √(196 - 49)

Height = √147

Height = 7 √3

Now find the volume of the cone:

Volume = PI x r^2 x H/3

Volume = 3.14 x 7^2 x 7√3/3

Volume = 621.8177 cubic cm's.

Round the answer as needed.

You have a 27 inch long table. You wanted to buy a 52 inch TV. Does the TV fit on the stand? Explain how you got the answer. Use
Licemer1 [7]
If the t.v. Doesn’t have a Stand like most do then no, 52-27=25 so the table would have to be 25 inches bigger to fit the t.v. At least, if it has stands that are in the middle or way closer to the ends of a table then the ends of the t.v. Then yes it will

Matt was babysitting for a friend’s parents Saturday morning and was paid $25 per hour for 5 hours. Later that evening, he was b
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

$3.75 per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Matt earned $25 in 5 hours, then earned $20 in 7 hours.

Add the money he made together, $25 + $20 = $45

Add the number of hours he worked that day, 5 + 7 = 12

Divide the total amount he made by the hours he worked, $45 / 12

$45 / 12 hours = $3.75 per hour

Can a house be designed without mathematics
KengaRu [80]
Depends on your definition of "house".
Technically it is possible to build a type of "shelter"
But to build a real house, even a small shed, it is necessary to use at the very least basic math. Even if you were building and planning on the go, it would require some math. You need math to calculate how large of materials you would need, how much money, the length and width of the house, how much supplies you need etc.
