Answer: I would rather be colonized by the French.

Explanation: the Spanish were far more successful than the French, the French originally colonized North America to create trading post for fur trade. Eventually, French missionaries traveled farther North to convert Natives to Catholicism. As while the Spanish caused massive genocides throughout native tribes of present day Mexico and the US. For example, when Spanish leader Hernán Cortés allied with Tlaxcalan tribe and conquered the Aztecs, and since then Mexico had been a colony of Spain.
